Visit My Son - Ancient Sanctuary by Cham People - half day
Introduction
My Son, which was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1999, is an ancient Sanctuary build by Cham People dated back to the 7th century. It served as main religious centre of the former Champa Kingdom from the 7th-14th century before the ruin.
During a time spanning from the 4th to 8th centuries, when Tra Kieu (then known as Simhapura) served as the political capital of Champa, My Son was the site of the most important Cham intellectuals and a religious centre. It is also believed that this site could have been used as a place of burial for Cham monarchs. My Son is considered to be Cham's counterpart to the grand cities of South-East Asia's other Indian influenced civilizations: Angkor (Cambodia), Bagan (Myanmar), Ayuthaya (Thailand) and Borobudur(Java).

8.00 Depart from your hotel in Da Nang/Hoi An to My Son sanctuary which was once an imperial city during the Champa dynasty, between the 4th and the 8th centuries.
We travel about 50km to visit My Son sanctuary, visit the ruins towers of Cham people and learn about of architecture of Cham civilization.
After arrival, our tour guide will introduce the general information and visit Champa Museum
Transfer by buggy cars to the site and enjoy the traditional Apsara dance
After that, spend about 1.5 hour for sightseeing and taking photos of My Son - large complex of religious relics that comprises more than 65 architectural works. In 1999, UNESCO labeled the Cham architecture in My Son as a World Cultural Heritage Site.
Drive back to your hotel and finish the tour
